PAM Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking an HIM Technician to support the Health Information Management department. You will assist with inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing, including sorting, proofing and error identification of reports, and provide telephone back-up when needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with Health Information Management training; prior medical records experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Health Information Management (“HIM”) Technician include, but are not limited to: inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (including sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function. The HIM Technician also provides telephone back-up as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Training: High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.

Experience: Previous medical record experience in healthcare setting preferred.
