Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry level Medical Records/Health Information Management Specialist to work onsite at Adena - ARMC in Chillicothe, OH. The role offers bonus incentives, paid certifications, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

You will perform records analysis, manage missing documentation, follow up with departments and providers, and maintain documentation in the chart deficiency system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CMS regulations and Joint Commission standards preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred (acute care HIM).
• Must be inquisitive with openness to innovation including AI to improve processes and patient/client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis/reanalysis of records accurately and timely.
• Handles EMR waiting for documentation and missing documents queues.
• Follows up with departments/providers for missing documentation or dictation.
• Updates unbilled spreadsheet and reports status to management.
• Reviews medical records and creates charting deficiencies, assigns to providers.
• Manages analysis work queues to ensure timely chart completion.
• Follows company standards/workflows to allocate accounts.
• Identifies systemic problems and escalates to the Manager for resolution.
• Reports issues/trends not complying with policies.
• Documents workflows and changes to processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
