Job summary

The Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a Coding Auditor to perform comprehensive audits of professional coding, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across services. This role partners with a Coding Educator to drive education and quality improvements and supports vendor oversight and SLA adherence.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of coding experience with CPC certification; CPMA/CPC-H are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional coding experience.
• CPC certification required; CPMA and CPC-H preferred.
• Strong auditing, documentation review, and compliance skills.
• Experience with revenue cycle and provider education initiatives.
• Ability to communicate findings to providers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive coding audits for professional services.
• Support service-line transitions, vendor oversight, and quality validation.
• Collaborate with Coding Educator on education and quality improvement.
• Monitor coding quality metrics and audit outcomes; present findings.
• Develop corrective action plans and drive documentation improvement.
