Job summary

NHC HealthCare Athens is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Assistant to support the medical records team on a full-time, day-shift basis. The role involves clerical tasks and assistance with maintaining accurate patient records in a post-acute care facility.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in health information, strong typing skills, and familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10-CM coding, and record-keeping procedures. CCS/CCA/CPC-A certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in health information or medical records.
• Typing and ability to use medical record systems, including filing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and coding principles.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
