Under general supervision, the Health Informatics Specialist serves as a member of the project team responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical quality improvement (QI) activities with collaborators for specified projects involving physician offices. This includes generating clinical quality reports from various electronic health record (EHR) systems in physician practices. This position is responsible for evaluating efficiency and effectiveness and recommending improvements for all work activities that fall within the team responsibilities. The HIS serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of providers, offering hands-on QI support through site visits, webinars, and virtual meetings. Core responsibilities include conducting assessments, performing root cause analyses, and developing quality action plans aligned with CMS priorities such as chronic disease management (e.g., hypertension, diabetes) and promoting EHR adoption to improve interoperability.
Compensation: 82,000 - 98,000 DOE
