Job summary

Braden River Rehabilitation Center seeks a dedicated Medical Records Clerk to manage long-term and sub-acute care records, prepare charts for admissions, and close records on discharge. You will maintain physician orders and schedules while auditing for compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, experience with medical terminology, and familiarity with Windows and EMR systems. CNA is a plus; prior LTC experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Responsible for record keeping and medical records management for a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
• Prepare charts for new admissions, close medical records upon discharge, maintain physician's orders and visit schedules, and audit to ensure records management meets center's policies and procedures, professional standards, and state and federal laws and regulations for long-term care facilities.
• Experience reading and interpreting medical terminology required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records and ensure timely access to patient information for care teams.
• Audit records for accuracy and regulatory compliance in long-term and short-term care settings.
