Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a detail-oriented Intake/Appeals associate to review, research, and enter grievance and appeal cases within one business day of receipt. You will monitor multiple intake sources, prioritize requests, and handle various case types including member and provider grievances and appeals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of related experience in grievances or appeals.
• Data entry experience and understanding of processing requirements.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, research, and enter grievance and appeal cases within one business day of receipt.
• Monitor intake sources and prioritize incoming requests.
• Intake various case types including member/provider grievances and appeals.
• Review information to determine the correct case type and processing steps.
• Manage cases with varying turnaround times by state, plan, and type.
• Maintain organization to handle urgent requests timely.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Respond to QA questions and seek clarification when needed.
• Participate in weekly team meetings with intake and project teams.
• Adapt quickly to changing procedures while maintaining accuracy.
