Job summary

Glacier Support Services (GSS) seeks a Health Educator to support the AFWC program at Ft. Benning, GA. You will deliver health education, assess participants, and coordinate coaching sessions to improve health and readiness.

You will work with a team to provide six core programs, use advanced testing tech, and ensure proper data collection while maintaining high professional standards and U.S. citizenship requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Allied Health field from an accredited college or university (exercise science/exercise physiology preferred).
• Maintains one or more nationally recognized credentials (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHES/MCHES).
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conduces evidence-based health promotion programs based on behavioral change theories and measures changes with evaluation tools.
• Conducts physical fitness testing and comprehensive health assessments using advanced technology.
• Provides individual and group health coaching to improve health habits using behavior change theories.
• Ensures complete and timely data collection and entry through approved documentation systems.
• Maintains knowledge of health sciences including anatomy/physiology, exercise science, health psychology, nutrition, exercise programming, and counseling techniques.
• Assesses, develops, and plans health education programs per AFWC directives.
• Collaborates with community agencies; can work independently or as a team and supports AFWC mission.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
