• Masters degree in a field related to health education or a health promotion discipline.
• Certifications listed may be substituted by equivalent credentials as noted.
• Experience coordinating health education services and curriculum development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, designs, implements, presents, and evaluates health education programs and services.
• Coordinates health education services and referral systems, monitors quality and documentation, and supports scheduling and logistics.
• Provides direct group or one-on-one health education to members and the public.
• Reviews and develops culturally appropriate health education materials and resources.
• Consults with physicians and staff on related health education services.
• Coordinates health information projects such as newsletters and community events.
• Specializes in a specific health education area as required.
• Prepares reports, grants, proposals, and documentation.
• Contributes to department goal setting and priorities.
