Job summary

The New York State Department of Health seeks a data-driven professional to act as a liaison between the Division of Data Management, Analysis, and Research and several programs within the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management. The role includes conducting statistical analyses, trend identification, and predictive assessments affecting policy and health equity.

Responsibilities cover modernization of data collection, internal/external reporting, and contributing to state budget

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience performing two of the five activities listed in the Minimum Qualifications.
• Substitution: associate degree substitutes for two years; bachelor’s substitutes for four; master’s substitutes for five; doctorate substitutes for six years.
• Experience in policy development or regulatory development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Division of Data Management, Analysis, and Research and multiple NYSDOH programs.
• Identify and carry out research and analytical needs, including trend analyses and predictive analyses.
• Develop electronic data collection forms and reporting enhancements for program staff.
