Guidehouse seeks a Health Communications Senior Associate to support CDC and federal health agency communications, digital engagement, and public health outreach initiatives. You will develop, execute, and evaluate communication products that advance public health priorities and translate complex information for diverse audiences.

The role requires 4+ years in health communications, experience with CDC digital channels, content governance, and strong writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Communication, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field is required.
• 5+ years of professional health communications experience.
• Experience supporting CDC digital communications programs and content for CDC.gov.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies, messaging, and outreach plans for CDC and other federal health programs.
• Create and manage digital content including website, newsletters, social media, and executive materials.
• Translate complex scientific information into audience-centered communications.
• Coordinate with program leaders, scientists, staff, and stakeholders to develop campaigns.
• Support content governance, editorial review, and clearance processes.
• Monitor communication performance and digital analytics to inform improvements.
• Support website modernization, content migrations, and digital engagement initiatives.
• Ensure all products comply with agency, HHS, Section 508, health literacy, and plain language requirements.
