Job Summary

Start Date: Monday, June 9th, 2025

Shift: Monday - Friday: Must be open to any shift between 10:30am – 8pm CST. It is required to work every fourth Saturday from 8:00am-4:30pm CST.

Training: Training will be a duration of 6 weeks from 8am – 4:30pm CST. Due to the structured training schedule, new hires are unable to miss any days of training.

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $21.50 or $25 including certification through NBC-HWC or CHES only.

The Health Coach is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for improving both the individual health and wellness of program participants and the overall health status of a client's population. The Health Coach is an integral part of a client-specific Health and Care Support Team that engages and supports members in improving lifestyles and behaviors that put them "at risk" of developing chronic or disease conditions. The Health Coach aims to be a positive change agent, helping members alter behaviors for better health and reduction/elimination of risk factors. The Health Coach reports to an Operations Coach Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Participate in telephonic engagement (inbound and outbound) to inform eligible participants about the program and enroll them.
• Provide individualized behavior change coaching to reduce or eliminate high-risk behaviors and encourage healthy habits.
• Make outbound calls to members enrolled in coaching but without scheduled calls.
• Coordinate services with a multi-disciplinary care team, including nurses, pharmacists, and external vendors.
• Support operational aspects to meet customer requirements, which may include multiple clients.
• Adhere to schedules and caseloads to ensure successful member interactions.
• Attend daily and monthly meetings to share updates and insights.
• Track members' progress and the efficacy of the program.

• Learn to coach effectively using motivational interviewing.
• Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science) required; 2+ years of health coaching experience may substitute.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred; customer service experience is a plus.
• Experience with benchmarks and contact center metrics preferred.
• Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to coordinate telephonic communication while navigating software and entering data.
• Knowledge of lifestyle topics like smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, etc., is desired.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to schedule changes.
• Hard-wired internet connection required; Wi-Fi not permitted.
