Position Summary: Planned Parenthood of Southern New England has an opening for a full time (37.5) Health Center Manager II for our New London, CT Health Center.
Essential Functions:
  1. Ensures high quality health care services that support the whole person
  2. Creates a great workplace that attracts, fully engages and retains great talent
  3. Ensuring that the health center provides client centered services; makes certain all decisions reflect the best interest of the clients
  4. Ensures business success and sustainability; responsible for identifying and seeking opportunities to grow the health center
  5. Ensures excellent customer service and retention by providing leadership, creating effective partnerships and building highly collaborative relationships within the center and externally
  6. Create and maintain an environment in which staff feel appreciated and recognized for their work
  7. Ensures that the health center is in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
  8. Engages as a community ambassador; identifies and builds relationships with key community contacts as a way to build partnerships and connect community members to PPSNE
  9. Provide services that are culturally and linguistically competent
  10. Ensures an environment that appreciates and embraces a variety of experiences and perspective which arise from differences in race, culture, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability and gender identity
  11. Responsible for all health center operations; processes, protocols and personnel
Key Requirements:
  1. Must have a strong understanding and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of PPSNE
  2. Able to manage a thriving team in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  3. Excellent organizational, communication and sound decision making skills
  4. Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with diplomacy and tact
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the role that racial inequity plays in our society and its impact on healthcare systems and institutions
  6. Awareness of multiple group identities and their dynamics, and brings a high level of self-awareness, empathy, and humility to interpersonal interactions.
  7. Interacts effectively and builds trust with a diversity of people, and have demonstrated an ability to effectively work across difference. Communicates clearly and directly, continually able to hear, reflect, and act on feedback related identity and equity with the aim to learn, and gives both positive and developmental feedback, and holds oneself and others accountable, including for racial equity practice
  8. Bachelor’s level Degree from an accredited college or university and/or comparable training and job experience required
  9. Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  10. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and have a reliable form of transportation
  11. Bi-lingual English/Spanish or bi-cultural candidate preferred
Salary: $48,444 - $80,814 a year. Salary Range; Min $48,444 Mid $64,651 Max $80,814 and is based on full years of experience. Due to our commitment to equity and fairness PPSNE does not negotiate salaries.
