Qualifications

• Must have graduated from high school; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 60 semester hours of college credit with a grade of C or better (for Daily Substitute Permit).
• Minimum two years (4,000 hours) of health industry experience.
• Prefer to be a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN).
• Must work with culturally diverse student populations.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assists instructors by maintaining and organizing classroom and lab supplies and equipment for student learning.
• Demonstrates health care skills for students when individual instruction is required.
• Transports Health Careers students by bus on field trips or to work sites as needed.
• Provides remedial and tutorial instruction under instructor guidance.
• Consults with instructional staff to ensure students receive appropriate support services.
• Monitors special population students’ skills, work habits, and attendance and shares information with support teams.
• Maintains safe learning environments and supports students during labs and field trips.
• Supports student visitation programs including tours and internships.
