Murdoch Developmental Center is currently recruiting for a Health Care Technician II located at Royall Cottage and reports to the Unit Manager. This position serves as a Supervisory technician and monitors the care provided by the Health Care Technician I’s, providing feedback to staff as needed. Job responsibilities include the following and any other duties assigned:
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays, retirement, etc.
Normal working hours are on 3rd Shift 10:45 p.m. - 6:45 a.m., including holidays and every other weekend. Some flexibility is required to meet the center's needs. Shift changes may be necessary for coverage.
MDC is one of three regional developmental centers operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). MDC in Butner serves 25 counties in central NC. It has approximately 1600 employees providing residential services and supports to people with IDD, complex behavioral challenges, and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the community. MDC also operates four statewide programs supporting children and adolescents with complex needs. Located centrally, MDC is convenient to Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Applicants must be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.
