The position conducts onsite, initial certification and recertification surveys as well as abbreviated complaint and facility reported incident investigation surveys. The purpose of these surveys is to determine initial and ongoing compliance of federal certified providers with applicable portions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and may be conducted by an individual assigned health care surveyor or a team of surveyors.
