We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and competent healthcare support worker (HCSW) to join our friendly team at the Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in the New Forest, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a HCSW to work in a busy and dynamic department, supporting the clinical team with managing patient influx throughout the day.
Lymington UTC sees approximately 20,000 attendances annually, a demand that has increased with the COVID pandemic. Our clinical team includes nurse practitioners, specialist paramedics, doctors/GPs, and healthcare support workers. The service caters to patients of all ages, with excellent facilities to manage a range of presentations. The department and the PHL Organisation have recently achieved a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC, reflecting our commitment to quality care.
The successful candidate should be prepared to work 8 or 12-hour shifts during department hours. Responsibilities include supporting high standards of patient care, wound care/dressings, fracture management, plastering, obtaining clinical observations and ECGs, and assisting with emergencies. The HCSW will also help maintain treatment room stock, order supplies, and cover the reception desk as needed. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
