Job summary

Western CT Mental Health Network (WCMHN) in Connecticut seeks a part-time Health Care Analyst to support billing, documentation accuracy, and quality improvement initiatives across Waterbury, Danbury, and Torrington sites. This role requires auditing, data extraction, and liaison with the DMHAS Commissioner’s Office.

The position supports Joint Commission and CMS survey preparations and travels between sites as needed. Part-time schedule is 32 hours/week, first shift.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional experience in financial management with some health care management experience.
• Financial management includes accounting or auditing with responsibility for reviewing financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly billing and medical record audits for accuracy and data integrity.
• Review documentation for completeness and regulatory/compliance adherence.
• Use software to extract data, generate reports and analyze audit outcomes.
• Advise on improvements and coordinate staff follow-ups for corrections.
• Act as liaison with the DMHAS Commissioner’s Office on billing and claims matters.
• Provide training and develop materials to support accurate billing and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and assist with Joint Commission, CMS and other survey preparations.
• Travel between Waterbury, Danbury, and Torrington sites as needed.
