Job summary

UC Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Security Officer to protect associates, patients, visitors, and facilities across campus. You will patrol properties, respond to alarms, and enforce safety protocols in a fast-paced health system environment.

Required is at least two years in law enforcement or security, an associate degree in criminal justice or security management, and OPOTA/IAHSS certification within 12 months of hire; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in criminal justice or security management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property and facilities by foot, bike or patrol vehicle to maintain a safe environment.
• Investigate and document reports of criminal or unusual activity and policy violations.
• Inspect and document safety hazards; submit Plant Operations work requests.
• Enforce UC Health policies and regulations; appear in court when required.
• Perform safety checks and monthly fire extinguisher and panic alarm inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of current security trends by reading journals and attending related seminars.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including door control, lost-and-found, mail, helicopter landing safety.
