Job summary

The Health Broker is responsible for enrolling participants in Innovative Integrated Health (IIH) Health Plans. The Health Broker will market and represent IIH Health Plans with the intention of initiating enrollments.

The Health Broker will also be responsible for generating leads, creating and maintaining relationships, developing new referral sources, representing IIH Health Plans with professionalism and ultimately enrolling participants into an IIH Health Plan.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of healthcare experience.
  • Experience with frail or elderly population preferred.
  • Bachelor level education preferred.
  • Pass the State Administered PACE marketing exam.
  • Ability to generate leads and conduct sales presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and execute sales presentations to prospects and outside accounts.
  • Represent IIH at community functions such as Chamber of Commerce and health fairs.
  • Develop referral sources and manage outside sales calls.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings and committees as assigned.
  • Be flexible in schedule and may require use of personal vehicle.

Job Summary

The Health Broker is responsible for enrolling participants in Innovative Integrated Health (IIH) Health Plans. The Health Broker will also be responsible for generating leads, creating and maintaining relationships, developing new referral sources, , representing IIH Health Plans with professionalism and ultimately enrolling participants into an IIH Health Plan. The Health Broker will work from our retail store front and will also be responsible for outside sales calls.

Essential Job Functions
  • Generate leads.
  • Execute sales presentations to individual prospects as well as outside business accounts.
  • Represent IIH at community functions, (Chamber of Commerce, Health Fairs, etc.)
  • Continuously evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the organization.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects and committees as assigned.
  • May require use of personal vehicle.

  • Adhere to and support the center’s practices, procedures, and policies including assigned break times and attendance.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner; and perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Be flexible in schedule of hours worked.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient knowledge of computer skills. MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, equipment and filing systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to quickly learn department policies, procedures, goals, and services.
  • Skill: Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to change priorities regularly.

  • Must be able to pass State Administered PACE marketing exam.
  • Strong listening skills to ensure prospects needs are being met.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the PACE model and all service offerings in order to accurately describe the plan to others.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful experience in the healthcare field of work.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population.
  • Previous management experience desired.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor level education preferred.
  • Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.
