Job summary

White Bear Lake Area Schools is seeking a Health Assistant Substitute (non-licensed) to provide first aid and basic health support to students. Under close supervision of the Licensed School Nurse and district leadership, you will manage health records, administer medications as needed, and respond to health needs during assignments across various locations.

Candidates typically hold an associates/technical health-related degree; RN/LPN licensing strongly preferred; prior experience in health

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree with coursework in LPN or RN license strongly preferred, or related field and moderate experience working in health care or education.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of word processing and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and care to students with health needs under supervision.
• Maintain health information for students.
• Administer medications to students as needed.
• Work under the close supervision of the Licensed School Nurse and district leadership.

Position Summary:
Performs intermediate skilled human support work providing first aid and care to students with health needs, maintaining health information, administering medication to students, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Licensed School Nurse, Building Principal and Assistant Director of Equity and Engagement.
Education and /or Experience:
Associates/Technical degree with coursework in LPN or RN license strongly preferred, or related field and moderate experience working in health care or education field; word processing and data management systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
