Job summary

Endeavors Inc. seeks a Health and Wellness Practitioner to design and deliver comprehensive wellness programs for U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel and families.

The role emphasizes mental and emotional well-being, stress reduction, mindfulness, and resilience-building through coaching, group sessions, and education. The practitioner will collaborate with Health and Fitness Coaches, coordinate with external partners, and ensure confidentiality and ethics in client care.

Qualifications

• National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) preferred.
• Minimum two years of wellness coaching or mindfulness coaching experience.
• Experience working with high-stress occupations such as first responders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate individual and group wellness coaching sessions focused on stress management and resilience.
• Use motivational interviewing and positive psychology to support sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Lead workshops on mindfulness, work-life balance, emotional intelligence, and self-care.
• Provide mindfulness interventions including guided meditation and breathing exercises.
• Maintain confidential client records and coordinate referrals as needed.

Job Purpose

This position will provide holistic well-being support, stress management coaching, and resilience-building strategies for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel and their families.

Job Purpose

The Health and Wellness Practitioner organizes and implements comprehensive programs and activities to support Endeavors six principles of Wellness for a Workforce Wellness Program. This position will provide holistic well-being support, stress management coaching, and resilience-building strategies for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel and their families.
The Health and Wellness Practitioner will focus on mental and emotional well-being, stress reduction, mindfulness, and work-life balance aligning with Endeavors Wellness Model. This role aims to help clients develop sustainable wellness habits, improve emotional resilience, and enhance overall quality of life through personalized coaching, group sessions, and wellness educations.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and facilitate individual and group wellness coaching sessions, focusing on stress management, emotional resilience, and well-being.
• Utilize motivational interviewing and positive psychology techniques to guide clients toward sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Lead wellness workshops and educational sessions on topics such as:
• Mindfulness and meditation techniques
• Work-life balance strategies
• Emotional intelligence and coping mechanisms
• Self-care and relaxation practices
• Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including guided meditation, breathing exercises, and stress-reduction techniques.
• Provide one‑on‑one coaching to help clients identify stressors, set wellness goals, and develop action plans.
• Promote holistic wellness approaches, incorporating mental, emotional, environmental, and social well‑being.
• Collaborate with the Health and Fitness Coaches to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to workforce wellness.
• Coordinate with external entities to enhance wellness programming, workshops, and events.
• Maintain accurate client records and track progress, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with professional standards.
• Provide resources and referrals for additional wellness-related support when needed.
• Work collaboratively with the Fitness Coach to incorporate movement-based stress reduction and the Health Coach to support overall well‑being.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) – Preferred
• Wellness Coach Certification – Preferred
• Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certification – Highly desirable
• Strong preferences for National Wellness Institute's Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) or similar certification.
  

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Psychology, Social Work, Health Coaching, Behavioral Science, Public Health) preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience

• Minimum two years of experience in wellness coaching, stress management, or mindfulness coaching.
• Experience working with first responders, military personnel, or high-stress occupations is strongly preferred.
• Background in mindfulness practices, emotional resilience training, or holistic wellness strategies is highly desirable.

LICENSES:

Driver’s License with clear record and must be able to successfully pass a government background investigation.

VEHICLE:

Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER:

Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of themselves or others.
