HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, seeks a Health and Safety Supervisor in Port Lavaca, TX. The role focuses on ensuring safety compliance, leading inspections, and coordinating training across sites.

You will oversee safety programs, respond to incidents, and collaborate with client safety departments to promote a strong safety culture and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in an industrial environment.
• Must have TWIC and CSST certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority by enforcing safe work practices and policies.
• Conduct health and safety inspections, audits, and interventions; manage permits and paperwork.
• Lead and coordinate employee safety training programs.
• Oversee JHA/JLA processes and safety equipment inspections and testing.
• Provide leadership on Clean Harbors processes and expectations.
• Respond to emergencies and manage incident follow-up and reporting.
• Coach and supervise teams to improve safety performance.
• Build relationships with the client safety departments.
• Inspect areas and equipment to identify compliance issues and document findings.
• Recommend corrective actions and support continuous safety improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;
• Manage employee safety training programs and coordination;
• JLA’s (job loss analysis), JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply;
• Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations;
• Respondto emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;
• Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;
• Establish relationships with client safety department;
• Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;
• Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;
• Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?

• 2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards;
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC);
• Must have Construction Site Safety Tech certification (CSST);
• Strong knowledge of regulations.
