DXS is a subsidiary of HTS and specializes in variable refrigerant flow (VRF), air-source heat pumps (ASHPs), ventilation, and related systems for high-efficiency, low-carbon buildings. Our team provides comprehensive climate solutions, from design to ongoing maintenance, staying current with industry technologies and trends.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Global Health and Safety Director, this role will support the development and maintenance of the company's health, safety, and environmental programs. It will also provide administrative support to regional and site managers, ensuring consistency across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain the Company Safety Manual annually.
  • Create and enforce safety standards and procedures.
  • Conduct weekly site inspections to identify and mitigate unsafe conditions, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with external safety consultants for inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain related documentation.
  • Complete safety pre-qualification for job specifications.
  • Lead investigations of injuries and incidents, documenting findings for review.
  • Collaborate with the H&S Director to disseminate safety information organization-wide.
  • Work with managers across departments to improve safety performance in a multi-state environment.
  • Review and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and HazCom compliance on all sites.
  • Distribute and inspect PPE, ensuring all employees are equipped appropriately.
  • Maintain safety records, logs, and schedule equipment maintenance.
  • Manage H&S meetings, including scheduling, leading, and recording minutes.
  • Coordinate Return-to-Work programs with HR for Workers’ Compensation cases.
  • Provide safety orientation and ongoing training for new and existing employees.
  • Develop weekly safety talks and participate in toolbox meetings.
  • Lead corporate safety committee meetings.
  • Maintain safety training records and certifications, ensuring compliance.
  • Distribute safety communications and update safety boards.
  • Conduct emergency drills and assist in developing safety and rescue plans.
  • Ensure confidentiality and promote a respectful workplace environment.
  • Perform additional safety-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety plus 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction or HVAC.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and federal/state safety regulations.
  • OSHA 30-hour training certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Clean driving record.
  • HVAC knowledge is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to sites in NH, VT, MA, NY, and others.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
