United Safety Professionals is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant for a full-time remote role. You will advise clients across diverse industries on health and safety best practices, conduct risk assessments, and align management systems with regulatory standards.

You will design and deliver training, support certification efforts, and produce clear documentation such as reports, procedures, and action plans.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, applicable across multiple industries.
• Experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including development and improvement.
• Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent credentials.
• Ability to design and deliver effective training on safety regulations, procedures, and workplace practices.
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory frameworks; experience with audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

Role Description

The Health and Safety Consultant is a full-time, remote role responsible for advising clients on occupational health and safety best practices across diverse industries. Day-to-day work includes conducting risk assessments, reviewing safety policies, and developing or updating health and safety management systems to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The consultant will design and deliver safety training, support clients in achieving certifications, and prepare clear documentation such as reports, procedures, and corrective action plans. The role also involves collaborating-with client leadership and site personnel to identify hazards, recommend controls, monitor implementation, and provide ongoing guidance that improves safety performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply best practices across multiple industries.


• Experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement.


• Relevant health and safety certifications, such as NEBOSH or equivalent credentials.


• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective Training on safety regulations, procedures, and workplace practices.


• Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable regulatory frameworks, and experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.


• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.


• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field preferred.


• Experience in construction, manufacturing, healthcare, maritime, or general industry environments is an advantage.
