Job summary

ABHS AmeriCorps Program in Arizona is seeking part-time members to plan and deliver culturally relevant wellness events and outreach. You will collaborate with elders, youth programs, and health staff to promote suicide prevention and trauma-informed care, serving 500 community members, and collecting impact surveys.

The role supports healing-centered activities for one year (01/08/2027 - 01/08/2028) with an education award and stipend as part of AmeriCorps State/National offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Age 17+ for program eligibility.
• Ability to participate fully in AmeriCorps service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and delivering culturally relevant wellness events, prevention campaigns, and healing-centered outreach activities.
• Collaborate with elders, community leaders, youth programs, and behavioral health staff to promote suicide prevention, MMIP awareness, trauma education, and pathways to healing.
• Distribute prevention materials and support peer-connection spaces during community gatherings, forums, and outreach events.
• Provide wellness-focused events or outreach to 500 unduplicated community members.
• Collect surveys from 200 community members to measure changes in health knowledge and awareness related to suicide prevention, MMIP, trauma, and wellness.
