Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a heading machine operator in Santa Ana, CA. You will troubleshoot, train for cross-functional responsibilities, and contribute to cost-saving process improvements in heading and threadroll tooling operations.

The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and collaborating with engineering on tooling development. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Familiarity with header tooling & equipment (progressive & non-progressive).
• Knowledge of wire material and coatings affecting design and performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heading and threadroll machines as needed.
• Follow PPE and functional safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process inspections to meet quality specs.
• Read blueprints and interpret work orders accurately.
• Order tooling and submit maintenance work orders.
• Collaborate with engineering on tooling/process development.
• Support new hires and machine setups.
