Job summary

Acument Global Technologies - North America is seeking a machine set-up/operator to manage heading equipment with various header types/sizes in a on-site environment in California. You will read blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and maintain production quality while training others and contributing to process improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, 5S housekeeping, and daily maintenance, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving. Prior header setup experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow operator documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to set up and operate various manufacturing equipment.
• Basic math for blueprint reading and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Set up, adjust, and operate heading equipment with various header types/sizes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform first-piece inspections, monitor part quality, and adjust as needed.
• Move materials using a forklift or non-motorized equipment.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and daily upkeep.
• Work with tooling and maintenance to maximize production efficiency.
• Train and assist other operators and department personnel.
• Suggest and implement process improvements.
• Maintain 5S in daily/weekly routines.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
