The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on experience, proficient inspection skills, and strong problem-solving abilities to maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating and setting up cold heading machinery.
• Proficient in using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines to meet production requirements.
• Manufacture quality parts per engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Monitor production processes and perform in-process inspections for quality.
• Review production documentation, tooling drawings, schedules, and work orders.
• Record production output and setup activity in the tracking system.

Header Machinist Opportunity with Aerospace Leader in Los Angeles!

Job details:

Salary: $30 - $40 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Header Machinist to set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and equipment reliability.

Shift availability:

• 1st Shift (4AM-230PM)
• 2nd Shift (230PM-1AM)

Work schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• Will work 2 Saturdays per month

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines to meet production requirements.
• Manufacture quality parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Monitor production processes and perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
• Gather and review production documentation, tooling drawings, schedules, and work orders.
• Accurately record production output and setup activity within the production tracking system.
• Identify and report equipment issues, tooling concerns, material discrepancies, and process abnormalities.
