Job summary

Endeavor Health's Diamond Headache Clinic in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a fellowship-trained headache physician for a full-time role in a high-volume neuroscience setting. The position combines clinical care for headache disorders, including chronic migraine and medication overuse, with potential leadership and academic opportunities.

The role offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, access to Botox, nerve blocks, and infusion

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Headache Medicine/Facial Pain (UCNS) required.
• AQH certification through National Headache Foundation preferred.
• Illinois medical license or pending; DEA and IL-CS license.
• MD degree with specialty training in neurology/anesthesia/PM&R/internal/emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient headache care in a high-volume neuroscience clinic.
• Manage patients with chronic migraine, tension-type headaches, MOH, and post-traumatic headaches.
• Utilize in-clinic procedures such as Botox, nerve blocks, and infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with fellowship-trained headache specialists and neurology subspecialists.
• Engage in academic activities and clinical research with opportunities for teaching.

Position Highlights

• Team-based care model within a high-volume, specialized neuroscience clinic and inpatient unit
• Focus on managing patients with all headache types, including chronic migraine, tension-type headaches, medication overuse, and post-traumatic headaches
• Access to in-clinic procedures such as Botox, nerve blocks, and infusion therapies
• Inpatient management of refractory headache patients within a multidisciplinary care team that includes physicians, APPs, pharmacy, nursing, and a number of therapeutic care providers. Physicians are supported by a team of APPs during clinical rounding on the unit.
• Collaborate closely with fellowship-trained headache specialists and neurology subspecialists
• Strong collaboration and support from Research Institute to ease participation in clinical trials and scientific inquiry
• Opportunities for academic involvement and teaching, including current fellows.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Headache Medicine and Facial Pain through UCNS
• Board Certification: AQH certification through the National Headache Foundation
• Completion of a Medical Program in Neurology, Anesthesia, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Medical License in the State of Illinois or pending
• Controlled Substance License in the State of Illinois or pending
• DEA

Compensation Range: Two-year guarantee and productivity based

$219,700 (10th percentile) to $390,700 (75th percentile) - Range based on years of experience
