Job summary

The Walker School seeks a dedicated and experienced Head Wrestling Coach to lead the Varsity and Middle School Wrestling Program. The Head Coach will provide leadership, instruction, and motivation to student-athletes while upholding the mission, vision, and core values of The Walker School.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at high school or equivalent level.
• Ability to model integrity and sportsmanship.
• Strong communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to safety and inclusive culture.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organize, and oversee all aspects of the wrestling program, including practices, competitions, and team events.
• Develop and implement training programs focusing on skill development, conditioning, and strategy.
• Instruct student-athletes on fundamental techniques, rules, and safety guidelines.
• Model and promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for opponents, officials, and teammates.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Department to schedule competitions and ensure GHSA compliance.
