Job summary

Pittsfield Public Schools seeks a Head Varsity Hockey Coach (THS) to lead the hockey program. This is a paid position not eligible for benefits and involves after-school/evening commitments.

Responsibilities include managing the program, organizing practices and ensuring compliance with MIAA requirements, while promoting sportsmanship and student-athlete development.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach fundamental hockey techniques that challenge the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes.
• Ability to promote hockey program participation.
• Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team.
• Experience as a coach at the high school level preferred.

Job Description
