Job summary

Paradise Honors High School in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Head Varsity Mens Basketball Coach to lead the program and develop student-athletes both on court and in character.

The coach will instruct athletes in fundamental skills and game strategy, coordinate with the Athletic Director and principal, and promote sportsmanship, safety, and personal growth through coaching clinics and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continued study of theories and procedures.
• Coach must serve as a role model for student athletes through actions and instructions.
• Must have or be willing to obtain NFHS fundamentals, concussion education and first aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success.
• Advise, coordinate and support assistant coaches with the Athletic Director and principal.
• Uphold athletic policies and ensure good sportsmanship and character development.
• Communicate through proper channels and participate in relevant meetings.
