Responsibilities

• Reports to the athletic director in conjunction with high school principals.
• Supervises a staff of high school and middle school coaches.
• Instructs athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success.
• Upgrades knowledge through coaching clinics and observations.
• Assists with scheduling, transportation and tournament requirements.
• Maintains discipline and ensures safety and proper equipment use.
• Mentors student athletes on character traits and academics.
• Coordinates program with maintenance and school staff.
• Presents information to news media and promotes the sport within the school and community.
