Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an HS Varsity Head Baseball Coach to lead the baseball program at Spencer Center. The role requires overseeing tryouts, practices and games, and ensuring athlete safety and growth.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience, a strong knowledge of baseball rules, and credentials such as an Ohio teaching certificate and a PAP permit. This is a supplemental annual limited contract with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising and program development.
• Strong knowledge of baseball rules and techniques.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Prior coaching experience at HS/college level preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to be a positive role model for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the baseball program including tryouts, practices, and games.
• Develop and execute an effective training program.
• Mentor student-athletes on and off the field.
• Instruct players in skills, strategy and physical training for team success.
• Uphold discipline, sportsmanship and safety within the program.
• Maintain compliance with district policies and athletic associations.
