Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• State of Ohio Pupil Activity Permit is required.
• BCII and FBI background checks completed.
• NFHS coaching certification completed.
• Lindsay's Law certification completed.
• Prior successful baseball coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the baseball program and team.
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Design conditioning and game training programs.
• Organize and supervise coaching staff to implement the program.
• Ensure all activities follow OHSAA guidelines.
• Supervise and evaluate assistant and JV/freshman coaches.
• Work with boosters and community groups to raise funds.
• Assist Athletic Director with schedules and transportation.
• Attend OHSAA rules meetings, in person or online.
• Develop team rules and communicate them to players and families.
• Notify media of scores and accomplishments.
• Ensure athletic forms are completed and filed.
• Maintain equipment, budget, and inventory control.
• Submit a complete roster to the athletic department.
• Supervise student athletes on field and in locker rooms.
• Enforce health and safety precautions during activities.
• Report injuries to Athletic Director and trainer.
• Provide end-of-season recognitions for athletes.
• Adhere to district policies and duties as assigned.
