Responsibilities

• Oversees the entire track and field program throughout the indoor and outdoor season.
• Instruction on the fundamentals of track and field techniques to help prepare the student athlete to become successful on the varsity team and beyond.
• Designs, organizes, and instructs well-planned practices.
• Recruitment of student-athletes, travel planning, equipment maintenance, and other coaching administrative responsibilities.
• Conducting out-of-season programs such as strength conditioning and summer workouts.
• Ability to interact with student athletes of different ages and skill levels in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

High School Degree, College degree preferred

Experience

Experience participating in track and field and coaching required.

Required Work Hours

Indoor track and field season starts mid-November and outdoor track and field ends in mid-May.

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is a private, Catholic, college preparatory, coeducational high school in Olney, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. Operated under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers, Good Counsel offers students in grades nine through twelve a wide array of programs and activities that advance academic excellence, foster spiritual growth, and encourage leadership and service to others.
