Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland is seeking an experienced Assistant Softball Coach for our fastpitch program. The role includes creating practice plans, managing game operations, and leading off-season training to develop student-athletes both on the field and in character.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred), have substantial coaching experience at HS/club/collegiate levels, and possess CPR/AED and First Aid certification prior to the season.

There are exceptional opportunities in the Good Counsel Softball Program for former fastpitch softball players and/or experienced fastpitch softball coaches. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the unique game of fastpitch softball. These candidates will also have, among other qualifications, effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, earned a high school or college degree and have previous successful experience playing and/or coaching competitive fastpitch softball.

Must have previous successful experience either playing for a competitive fastpitch softball program at the collegiate and/or travel program level(s); and/or coaching a competitive fastpitch softball at the high school, travel, and/or collegiate level(s).
The softball regular season generally runs from February through May, with practices, games, and postseason responsibilities occurring throughout the season and offseason.
