Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a head coach to organize and supervise a total high school sports program. The ideal candidate has prior successful coaching experience in the assigned sport and substantial knowledge of its technical aspects.

The head coach reports to the athletic director, oversees a staff of coaches, and guides student athletes in skill development, character, and discipline while pursuing ongoing professional growth through clinics and collaboration with principals.

Qualifications

• Has ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success.
• Model sportsmanship and character through instruction and actions.
• Supervise and coordinate staff of assistant coaches and middle school coaches.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling and tournament coordination.
• Ensure documentation for eligibility and safety procedures.
• Direct student managers, assistants and statisticians and enforce discipline as needed.
