Head Tennis Coach Tennis Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio is looking for a Head Tennis Coach.

Position Overview

The Cincinnati Tennis Foundation is seeking a dynamic, on-court Tennis Academy Head Coach to lead the daily training environment and player development for our competitive junior athletes.

This role combines high-volume, high-energy on-court coaching with tactical leadership. You will oversee daily practice execution, guide coaching staff, and directly manage the developmental and tournament pathways for designated priority junior players. Business operations, budgeting, tuition, and major administrative decisions are handled by executive leadership, allowing you to focus heavily on player development, coaching quality, and culture on the court.

Primary Responsibilities
  • On-Court Coaching & Practice Leadership (36–40 hrs/week): Lead energetic, highly structured Tennis Academy training sessions. Design daily practice themes, court assignments, drills, match play, and group management.
  • Priority Player Development: Serve as the primary developmental lead for assigned priority junior athletes. Establish technical/tactical goals, monitor progress, and maintain regular communication with players and families.
  • Coaching Staff Mentorship: Communicate daily practice goals and court assignments to staff coaches. Model high standards for energy, professionalism, and modern teaching techniques.
  • Tournament & Competition Planning: Build strategic tournament calendars (USTA/ITF) tailored to player development. Travel selectively to key regional and national events to provide on-site coaching.
  • Player Engagement & Culture: Track player attendance and commitment. Drive a positive, accountable, and high-performance environment across all Tennis Academy programs.
Work Breakdown
  • On-Court Coaching & Player Development: ~36–40 hours/week
  • Planning, Staff Leadership & Admin: ~4–5 hours/week
