Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Company in Greenville, MS is seeking a Teller who will manage all teller line activities, process deposits and withdrawals, and ensure accurate cash handling.

You will issue money orders and official checks, balance cash daily, and cross-sell bank services while maintaining confidentiality.

Strong communication with customers and teammates is essential, with background checks required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Bank experience not required but strongly preferred.
• 6 months of cash handling and balancing money transactions within prior four years.
• Communication skills in dealing with customers and employees.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Check Report.

Responsibilities

• Manages all the teller line activities.
• Paying and Receiving funds for deposit account transactions.
• Issuing Money Orders, Official Checks, Savings Bonds, and other financial products.
• Maintains security and balancing of cash on daily basis and other collections.
• Cross-sells Bank's Services and Products.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• May assist in teller training.
• vault maintenance.
• May assist in opening and closing of night vault.
