Description

Chautauqua’s Children’s School is a developmental preschool for youth ages 3 to 5. The program includes social, recreational, and educational activities that nurture children's development. Each week features a different theme, often with guest speakers sharing their talents. Program hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

Compensation

Starting at $16.50/hour, with potential to earn up to $18.50/hour based on experience and qualifications.

Work Day Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment for children, staff, and families.
• Encourage teamwork among Assistant Teachers.
• Develop and facilitate developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Supervise classroom and outdoor activities.
• Manage transitions and coordinate transportation for participants.
• Maintain program facilities.
• Manage behavior and communicate with families.
• Respond effectively to emergencies.

Referral Program

Offer a $500 referral bonus for successful hires who remain employed for specified periods.

Work Schedule

Primarily Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to Noon, approximately 30 hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Mandatory staff training before season start. Additional hours may be available.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred).

Experience:

• Required: Pass review by the Department of Social Services.
• Preferred: 1-3 years working with preschool children; 3-5 years classroom teaching experience.
