Job summary

Simmons University is seeking a Head Swim Coach/Aquatics Director to lead the varsity swimming & diving program. You will recruit academically and athletically qualified student athletes, supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive fundraising and alumni engagement while ensuring safety and excellence of aquatic facilities.

The role oversees the new state-of-the-art aquatics facilities opening January 2027, and requires NCAA compliance, leadership, and a passion for student development on campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of college coaching experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and eligibility requirements.
• Ability to manage budgets, fundraising and alumni relations.
• Proficiency with Hy-Tek Meet Manager and Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the swimming & diving program; recruit and retain student athletes.
• Supervise assistant coaches and manage team travel.
• Oversee budget and fundraising activities; engage alumni.
• Ensure facility safety, maintenance and high-quality user experience.
