Part-Time Head Swim Team Coach- City of Elgin

MGT is currently recruiting for a temporary Swim Coach position with the Elgin Cyclons Swim Team, located in Cook County, IL. The selected candidate will be employed by MGT for an expected duration of six months, with coaching services provided under contract to the client agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have relevant certification, experience, and the ability to work independently and respond on days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Head Coach Requirements (for New Club Head Coaches):

To serve as a Head Coach, an individual must meet one of the following:

Minimum of four years of head coaching experience at a USA Swimming club
Equivalent experience coaching a YMCA team, college/university program, or comparable institution
Minimum of two consecutive years of coaching experience plus:
ADM Certification (Age Group or Senior)
Two Legacy Coaching Courses (Jon Urbanchek and one of choice)

Safety Requirements:

CPR/AED Certification
Safety Training for Swim Coaches (STSC) – both Online and In-Water components
Concussion Protocol Training
Criminal Background Check (BGC)
