Job summary

Action pact is seeking a full-time Head Start Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for children. The role involves planning and implementing early childhood development experiences in an assigned classroom, with supervision of assistants and volunteers.

A minimum AA in Early Childhood Education or related field is required, BA preferred. The position is located at Atkinson County Head Start, Willacoochee, GA.

• BA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement early childhood development learning experiences in an assigned classroom.
• Supervise assigned Teacher Assistants and classroom volunteers.
• Coordinate activities of volunteers and aides with staff professionals.
• Maintain health, attendance, progress, and other records for each child.
• Attend conferences with parents and staff to support child development.
• Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with the Head Start curriculum and standards.
• Visit homes of children twice a year to support development outside the classroom.
