Job summary

Action pact is seeking a full-time Head Start Teacher in Waycross, GA to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment and implement early childhood development experiences in an assigned classroom. The ideal candidate holds a minimum AA in Early Childhood Education or related field, with BA preferred, and a valid Georgia driver?s license.

Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, supervising aides, family engagement, and maintaining child records in compliance with Head Start

Qualifications

• Minimum AA in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• BA degree preferred.
• Experience aligning activities with Head Start performance standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Implement a curriculum designed to improve physical, social/emotional development, and cognitive skills.
• Supervise child progress and recommend improvements in individual education plans.
• Coordinate volunteers and aides in the classroom and engage parents.
• Maintain health, attendance, and progress records for each child.
• Conduct conferences with parents and staff to support child development.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and parent events as required.
• Visit homes biannually to plan development outside the classroom.
• Plan daily lessons reflecting the assigned curriculum and varied activities.
