Job summary

Action pact is seeking a full-time Early Head Start Teacher in Blackshear, GA to provide a safe, nurturing classroom. You will plan and implement age-appropriate early learning experiences for enrolled children and supervise assistants and volunteers.

The position requires a minimum Infant/Toddler CDA; TCC/AA/BA preferred. You will coordinate with staff and families, maintain child records, and align activities with Head Start standards for cognitive and social growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum Infant/Toddler CDA is required.
• TCC/AA/BA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement early childhood development learning experiences in an assigned classroom.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers.
• Maintain health and attendance records for each child.
• Coordinate with staff and parents to support child development.
• Ensure lesson plans align with Head Start standards and age-appropriate activities.
• Conduct home visits and participate in parent involvement activities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Observe and assess each child’s progress and update records.
