Job summary

Ohio Head Start Association is seeking a full-year Teacher for Fairborn, OH to support preschoolers in preparing for kindergarten. The role is hourly, with wages between $15.29 and $21.87 per hour, based on education.

You will collaborate with the Head Teacher and families, organize learning environments, supervise children, and help with screenings and family engagement. A high school diploma with a CDA or CDA enrollment is required, with an Associate’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or enrollment in a CDA program; CDA completion within two years.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement Head Start activities.
• Assist in creating the daily classroom routine, preparing materials, and managing learning centers.
• Ensure child safety with proper supervision and a clean, healthy environment.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities promoting each child’s growth.
• Assist with developmental screenings and family engagement activities.
• Occasionally participate in home visits and parent/teacher conferences as requested.
