Job summary

Child Start Inc. is seeking a Head Start Teacher to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of every child in a safe, supervised educational environment.

The role requires engaging families to set long- and short-term readiness goals and ensuring the curriculum aligns with research-based early childhood principles. This is a 10-month position (August through June).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in ECE or related field with 18 ECE hours.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Must pass physical and TB skin test; background checks and E-Verify required.

Responsibilities

• Promote social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child in a safe, supervised classroom.
• Involve parents in all aspects of the program and work with them to set long- and short-term readiness goals.
• Ensure classroom curriculum follows research-based early childhood principles.
• Support inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities across centers as needed.
