Job summary

People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking a Teacher Assistant/Driver for the Child and Family Development program across Abingdon Head Start and Bristol Head Start/Early Head Start centers. The role supports the classroom teacher, delivers direct educational services and health assessments to children, and serves as bus monitor on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will have at least three months of classroom experience with children, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's

Qualifications

Minimum of three months classroom experience working with children.
High school diploma or GED required; early childhood credential preferred.
Valid drivers license with excellent driving record and reliable transportation required.
CDA required within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

Support the classroom teacher and deliver direct educational services and health assessments to children.
Ride bus as bus monitor on a regular basis.
Conduct data entry and complete documentation.
